Maybe, Paul, I don't know. I've seen them here in Canberra on bushes; I saw one at Currarong by the coast once. And this one - whether it strayed from further inland and ended up on the beach, or whether it's flotsam - who knows?
Good to hear that you’ve got a record of this species breeding here, Jackie. It seems likely that the individuals found on the beach flew in or were blown in from further inland - as you suggested Harvey. We’re yet to sight this species on our block in Wonboyn.
