Thank you. Have looked for such a species and only mention as far as I can ascertain is of a polytrichum commune mass, of which no records currently on this region. This would qualify as a commune. I also found another of same in this area but not photographed. Moderator will clarify but interesting suggestion. Ps @dcnicholls I just checked field guide and there are several entries under Polytrichum so looking more likely. Thanks
